This solutions article will go over the process for new Stock Transfer Orders involving customer property, both outbound and inbound.

Creating a new stock transfer order


Work Center: Outbound Logistics Control

Task: New Stock Transfer Order



On the New Stock Transfer Order page, you'll input the "Ship-From Site ID:" and "Ship-to Site ID:" of the branches where the product will be shipped from and where it will be delivered to. 


You'll then go down to the "Line Items" tab and click the "Add Row" button to add line items. Input as many as you need for the products, then input the "Product ID", "Requested Quantity", and "Requested Delivery Date". Verify all of the information is correct and then click "Save and Close". 


The Serial number for Customer Property will be added when you Post the Goods Issued to create the Outbound Delivery at a later step. 


  1. Input the "Ship-From Site ID:"
  2. Input the "Ship-to Site ID:"
  3. Click the "Add Row" button to add products
  4. Input the "Product ID"
  5. Input the "Requested Quantity"
  6. Input the "Requested Delivery Date"
  7. Click "Save and Close"
Write down the Stock Transfer Order Number. It will be used to search for Customer Demand and the Delivery Proposal.



You'll then need to release the "Customer Demand"

Pull up the Customer Demand by searching for the stock transfer order. Select all of the lines associated with the Stock Transfer Order and then click "Release" -> "With Stock Check"


  1. Pull up Customer Demand by Searching for the Stock Transfer Order number
  2. Select all of the lines associated with the Stock Transfer Order
  3. Click "Release" -> "With Stock Check"



Once you release the Customer demand, proceed to Outbound Logistics and Delivery Proposals

View: Delivery Proposals



Search for the Delivery Proposal related to the Stock Transfer Order by searching for the "Stock Transfer Order" Number. Then select the line for all of the items that are in the Stock Transfer Order and click "Create Warehouse Request"

  1. Search for the delivery Proposal using the Stock Transfer Order #
  2. Select the line or lines that are part of STO
  3. Click the "Create Warehouse Request" button


When you click the "Create Warehouse Request" button, it'll create the Warehouse Request and Order automatically for you. 


Now, you'll need to head to the Execution Work Center to complete the warehouse pick task and you can pull it up using the Stock Transfer Order ID.

a. Select the "Execution" Work Center

b. Select the "Outbound Warehouse Tasks" view


On the "Outbound Warehouse Tasks" screen, you'll search using the Stock Transfer Order number to pull up the related Warehouse Tasks. 


Once it's pulled up the related tasks, which you can verify by checking the "Execution Details" tab and also the "Reference ID" field. Select the line and then click the "Confirm" button to process the task.

c. Click the "Confirm" button



Once you click "Confirm", the "Confirm Pick Task" page will display to complete. 


On here, you'll input the "Actual Quantity" for the Outbound Stock Transfer Order and then input the appropriate "Source Logistics Area ID" for the bin location.  If you click on the little box button to expand the available "Source Logistic Area ID's", it'll display the available bin locations that contain the product stock. 


If it's for customer property, you'll click on the "Serial Numbers" tab to input the serial numbers. Once you input the serial numbers, it'll increase the actual quantity depending on the amount that you enter. 


After verifying the information and entering the quantities/source logistic areas, you can click the "Save" button to save the confirmation. 


a. Input "Actual Quantity

b. Input the "Source Logistics Area ID"

c. Click the box icon's to open up available source logistics area ID's for the product. 

d. Click the "Serial Numbers" tab if you need to enter serial numbers for Customer Property and enter the serial numbers. Each serial number entered will increase the "Actual Quantity" by that amount. 

e. Click the "Save" button.



After clicking the "Save" button, the Outbound Delivery will be created and released, as well as posting a warehouse confirmation for the customer property.  


Now, all you will need to do is acquire the Outbound Delivery ID to send to the branch that it will be shipped to so that they can receive it in on their end. 


If you haven't closed it already, it'll appear on the bottom left after saving the warehouse task. 


To find the Outbound Delivery ID, follow the steps below...


Cost Center: Outbound Logistics

View: Outbound Deliveries



On the "Outbound Logistics - Outbound Deliveries" page, select the drop-down box on the top left to change it to "All Outbound Deliveries by Selection" and then input the "Stock Transfer Order" number in the search bar. 


This will pull up the Outbound Delivery that was created and released so that you can grab the Outbound Delivery ID to shoot over to the receiving Branch so that they can pull up the Inbound Delivery that was created at the same time and that uses the same ID #. 


  1. Change the drop-down search criteria to "All Outbound Deliveries by Selection"
  2. Input the "Stock Transfer Order" number to pull up the Outbound Delivery ID
  3. Grab the Outbound Delivery ID to toss to the receiving Branch. 



You are now finished with creating the Outbound portion of a Stock Transfer Order





Stock Transfer Order - Receiving Inbound



Prerequisites 

  • Outbound Delivery ID that was created from the Stock Transfer Order


To start the process for receiving in a Stock Transfer Order, go to Inbound Logistics then Inbound Delivery Notifications

On the Inbound Logistics - Inbound Delivery Notifications page, search for the inbound delivery notification by using the Outbound Delivery ID of the Stock Transfer Order. 


Select the line of the Inbound Delivery Notification ID and then click "Create Warehouse Request"


  1. Search for the Delivery Notification ID using the Outbound Delivery ID
  2. Select the line
  3. Click "Create Warehouse Request"


After clicking the "Create Warehouse Request", the system will automatically create a Warehouse Order & Request for the inbound delivery. 


So, you'll now need to head over to the "Execution" work center and the "Inbound Warehouse Tasks" view.

View: Inbound Warehouse Tasks


    a. Select the "Execution" Work Center

    b. Select the "Inbound Warehouse Tasks" view 



On the "Execution - Inbound Warehouse Tasks" page, you'll search for the task by entering the Inbound Delivery Notification ID or Outbound Delivery ID of the Stock Transfer Order. 


Once the task pulls up, you'll select it and then click "Confirm". 


You can view the execution details and Reference ID of the task to verify that it's the correct one if you have multiple tasks appear. 


  1. Enter the Inbound Delivery Notification ID/Outbound Delivery ID for the Stock Transfer Order (It's the same number either way)
  2. Select the appropriate task id line
  3. Click the "Confirm" button



After clicking the "Confirm" button, you'll be taken to the "Confirm Put Away Task: XXXXX" page, where you'll input and verify the correct Products & amounts for the put-away task. 


Input the "Actual Quantities" for the amount your receiving in the correct field and then select the correct bin location in the "Target Logistics Area ID". 


If you select the "Propose Quantities and Logistics Area", it'll auto fill the Target Logistics Area ID if you have any current stock of the product. If you don't have stock, you'll need to input the bin location into the target logistics area ID. 


If this is a customer property or CMI product, you can click the "Serial number" tab and input the serial numbers. Once you input the serial numbers, it'll populate with the correct amount in the "Actual Quantities" based on the number of serial numbers you enter. 


Once your finished, then click "Save" to complete the put away task and then you'll be finished with receiving in the product. 


  1. Input the correct "Actual Quantity". 
  2. Input the correct "Logistics Area ID".
  3. If stock is available for the current product, it'll fill in the correct logistics area ID if you select "Propose Quantities and Logistics Area". If none are available in stock, you'll have to manually select the Target Logistics Area ID. 
  4. Select Serial Numbers tab if a customer property or CMI product transfer. 
  5. Input the correct serial numbers and it'll populate the "Actual Quantity" field for each serial number. 
  6. Click the "Save" button and then "Close" to finish with receiving in the STO.



You are finished with receiving in a Stock Transfer Order. You can verify the product was received by checking the inventory.
