This Solutions article will go over the process to make adjustments to the confirmation that was created when confirming inbound and outbound orders.
This applies to the following Type of Documents below...
- Purchase Orders
- Sales Orders
- Stock Transfer Orders
This process applies to both Inbound and Outbound Deliveries. The example will be over a Outbound Delivery instead of an Inbound, but the process is exactly the same.
Example
Finished processing a Sales Order or Stock Transfer Order, however you keyed in the quantity incorrectly. In this example, the planned amount was 60 each, however I input 70 each and confirmed the task for 70 each. So I'll need to adjust it for 60 each.
The best route, is to open the "Document Flow" in the document since you'll need to access both the "Outbound Delivery" and the "Warehouse Order" for the document. Once you pull up the "Document Flow", select the drop down and pick "Extended View" to bring up the work-flow.
To start, you'll need to bring up the Outbound/Inbound Delivery for the Order. You can do this from the "Document Flow" view by clicking on the Outbound/Inbound Delivery ID or you can pull them up in the following work centers...
Outbound Delivery Document
Work Center: Outbound Logistics
View: Outbound Delivery
Inbound Delivery Document
Work Center: Inbound Logistics
View: Inbound Deliveries
We're accessing the Outbound Delivery through the "Document Flow" screen of the Stock Transfer Order that was affected in this example.
- Click on the Outbound Delivery ID
Once you arrive on the Outbound/Inbound Delivery screen, click either the "View All" or "Edit" button.
- Click "View All" or "Edit" button
You'll need to undo the release for the Inbound/Outbound Delivery, so click the "Actions" button for the drop-down. Then, click "Undo Release".
Once it's unreleased, you'll click the "Save and Close" button.
- Click the "Actions" button and click "Undo Release"
- Click the "Save and Close" button
After you click "Save and Close", if you viewed the document flow, it'll bring you right back to it.
We'll now need to access the Warehouse Order for the Inbound/Outbound Delivery. So, click on the Warehouse Order ID
- Click on the Warehouse Order ID
On the Warehouse Order overview screen, click the "View All" button
- Click the "View All" button
After clicking "View All", you'll click on the "Adjustment Confirmation" button.
- Click on the "Adjustment Confirmation" button
Here is where you'll make the adjustment to the quantities
If you have multiple line items, you'll need to click the line that you want to adjust. Then, click the "Enable Entry" button, which will open up the "Quantity difference" field.
You'll input the difference, which in this example is -10 each, then after you're finished, click the "Save" button.
- Select the line that needs to be adjusted
- Click the "Enable Entry" button
- Input the Quantity difference in the "Quantity Difference" Field
- Click the "Save" button, then close the Warehouse Order.
After the adjustments have been made, you'll need to re-release the Outbound/Inbound delivery that was previously unreleased.
Open the Inbound/Outbound delivery again.
- Click the Outbound/Inbound Delivery ID
Once the Inbound/Outbound delivery is back open, you can view the "line Items" tab to verify that the amount is correct on the Inbound/Outbound now.
Click the "Release" button and then the "Save and Close" to finish out making adjustments to the confirmations.
- Click the "Line Items" tab and verify that the quantity was updated
- Click the "Release" button to re-release the Outbound/Inbound delivery
- Click the "Save and Close" button.
You're now finished with making adjustments to the Outbound/Inbound delivery after they've been finished.
